Reflection

Overall, I am relatively happy with the device. It is feature-filled with a simple yet effective design and works competently within Ableton Live. A considerable amount of time was spent trouble shooting issues in the development of the device. This proved to be frustrating at times although it has led me to a better understanding of Max. 

 

I’d like to note some points for future development. The synthesiser uses a considerable amount of processing power. Explorations into reducing this would make this a more useable instrument for those on devices with lower specifications. Furthermore, the LFO and Envelope controls would benefit from a range control. I struggled to implement this while also using the scale object.
